We are so close to the end of our playground project. We just need $10,000 to make the room ready for state inspection. Would you pray about giving to help meet our costs in cash? Maybe you could share this post and pray? I would appreciate it so much. Thanks for considering it!

The Plan

I have something very important to share with you. I have pastored the Intersection Church in Gettysburg for almost four years now. Our church has grown powerfully since it launched in 2010 and we have seen life-change as an everyday occurrence because we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and love people til it hurts! We are thankful for the growth and impact we have been given, but we know there is much more in store for our little corner of the Body of Christ.

The "more" that I am speaking of was birthed in my spirit back in 2008, before we even had a single weekend service! When God gave me His plans for our church, it included a well-kept, excellent indoor playground that would be open to the community. With His help our young, church body has managed to raise over $25,000.00 to purchase a playground as well as getting this playground that we call "The Street" to it's initial inspection with the state.

The Challenge

Here is the challenge, at that inspection we were told that we had about $10,000 worth of additional improvements that we had to effect upon the room before we could open to the public and that is why I am writing you now. Our initial budget, (which was thorough and well-devised) could not have foreseen the changes/expenses of this final stage and so I am reaching out to my friends and family to see if you would be willing to contribute to completing this project.

Our goal is to raise the final $10,000 that we need by the end of May, but if we can get faith commitments from people who care about finishing this project, we will be able to begin the work quickly! That is why I am asking God for 31 people who will step up from outside of our body to make the last push a reality.

The Question

Would you consider being a part of the 31?

I rarely ask for outside contributions, but I believe so strongly in the vision for this playground and the impact it will have, that I am willing to go out on a limb to see it accomplished.

1. Would you be one of thirty one people who will give a one-time gift to help us get the doors open to this incredible tool that God has given to us to reach our community?
2. Would you consider being one of the 31 people who will make a monthly financial contribution for the first year of operations?

I know you get a lot of requests for generosity, so I understand if you cannot give to the work we are doing here in Gettysburg. Conversely, I also know that many of you are looking for great soil to sow a seed to reach the next generation with the love of Christ.
